Lexus CT200h Facelift Revealed

The first official images of the facelifted Lexus CT200h have been released, revealing updated exterior styling for the premium hybrid hatchback.

The images give us our first look at the styling of the Luxury grade of the refreshed range, and come one week after CarAdvice’s spy photographers snapped undisguised shots of the performance-themed CT200h F Sport variant.

As expected, the upgraded Lexus CT200h adopts the premium Japanese car maker’s signature spindle grille. Brushed metal frames border the hourglass-shaped fixture, while styling revisions to the front and rear bumpers aim to add width to the hatchback’s stance.

Newly designed alloy wheels complete the exterior changes of the CT200h’s mid-life upgrade. There is no word at this stage on anticipated upgrades to the car’s interior or hybrid powertrain.

The images come less than two weeks out from the upgraded CT200h’s unveiling at the Guangzhou motor show in China, and a few months ahead of its arrival in Australian showrooms in the first half of 2014.

Lexus Australia is expected to take the knife to CT200h pricing with the introduction of the updated model. Currently priced from $39,990, the CT200h is more expensive than all its key rivals, including the Volvo V40 (from $34,990) and the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series and Mercedes-Benz A-Class (all from $35,600).

Detailed specifications and images will be revealed when the Lexus CT200h debuts in China on November 21.
