According to the statistics of State Statistics Bureau in Argentina, its volume of goods trade was USD54.94 billion from January to June in 2016, down 4.3% year-on-year (the same below). Exports fell by 2.7% to USD27.68 billion, and imports fell by 5.9% to USD27.26 billion. The trade surplus was USD0.43billion.

In June, Argentina’s volume of goods trade fell by 12.1% to USD10.37 billion. Exports fell by 13.4% to USD5.23 billion and imports fell by 10.8% to USD5.14 billion. And the trade surplus fell by 65.5% to USD0.1 billion.

Since January to June, bilateral trade volume between Argentina and China grew by 10.0% to USD7.62 billion. Argentina’s exports to China fell by 18.2% to USD2.31 billion. It accounted for 8.4% of Argentina’s overall export, down 1.6%. And Argentina’s imports from China grew by 29.5% to USD5.3 billion. It accounted for 19.5% of Argentina’s overall imports, up 5.3% over the previous year. Argentina’s trade deficit with China grew by 136.2% to USD2.99 billion.

China was the second largest export market of Argentina and its second largest source of imports up to June in 2016.
